Duties & Responsibilities

In this area, duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

Strong knowledge and technical skills in key network hardware and software platforms including Cisco Switches, routers and PIX/ASA Firewalls
Working knowledge of embedded and full operating systems (IOS, Windows, Router and switching platforms, LAN, WAN, and router protocols) and how they interact with the network
A thorough understanding of the OSI network model
Ethernet and TCP/IP Networking

Admissions Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent or Mature Student status.
Courses are open to any applicant who possesses a good command of the English language and is able to follow instructions.
An admissions interview will be administered to determine if the applicant has the required interest, motivation, and entry-level skills to take this program.
Students must attend the required hours and times per week per the course schedule.

Strong technical background in computing and data work
Excellent analytical and technical problem solving skills
Excellent English communication skills (written and oral)
Good knowledge of database architectures

Implement day to day network operations
Build resource models which predict network capacity and utilization based on predicted business model
Strong knowledge of network hardware, software platforms, and operating systems
